Disordered eating and body image

Disordered eating and body image struggles often have roots beyond food. Therapy creates space to explore those patterns while building a more compassionate and sustainable relationship with food and your body.

What shows up around food and the body is usually carrying something else. Control, comfort, grief, pressure, or a way of coping that arrived when there were few other options.

We work at the level of those roots rather than focusing on rules or numbers, and at a pace that feels safe. For some people this happens alongside a dietitian or physician, and we are glad to work as part of that team.

If you are looking for immediate support, the resources page lists helplines staffed by licensed clinicians.
