Cultural identity and first-generation experiences

Family expectations, culture, and identity can become complicated to navigate. Therapy offers space to explore those experiences, redefine boundaries, and better understand who you are on your own terms.

Carrying more than one set of expectations is its own kind of work. What is owed to family, what is expected of you, and what you actually want can pull in different directions without any of them being wrong.

First-generation experience often includes being the translator, the one who made it, or the one who is not supposed to need anything. Those roles are rarely chosen and rarely discussed.

There is space here to look at all of it without having to choose a side, and to work out what boundaries look like when the relationships matter deeply.

If any of that sounded familiar

The free fifteen-minute consultation is a conversation, not an intake form. We can talk about what is going on and whether working together feels right.
